Mystery
Mystery is a type of fiction. It is a mysterious story with a problem usually to be solved.



Now you will be reading what characteristics are usually involved with a mystery novel.

Characteristics

  • Good guy and a bad guy
  • Clues that lead to the wrong person
  • The mystery starts early in the book
  • There is always a problem or mystery to be solved
  • The author leads you to believe a certain thing but then it changes or twists
  • Horror can be involved with the book/novel
  • The book can leave you hanging with lots of questions
  • The mystery is usually solved at the end of the book (unless it is in a series)
  • The mystery/book can take place anywhere worldwide
  • Main character usually solves the mystery/case (main character is basically taking the role of the detective)
  • Clues lead to anywhere in the world
  • Main character could have to travel from point a to point b for mystery (from the location main character is at to the location of the mystery)
  • Good Hook (beginning) and Punch
