Historical Fiction is realistic fiction that takes place in the past. For example; World War II, Pearl Harbor, and the Revolutionary War are true events that an author can turn in to a fictional story.



Characteristics of Historical Fiction

  • A specific person, place, or event.
  • Setting takes place at a very important time, place, or event.
  • Some pridict the future.
  • Focuses on one topic and then sometimes another.
  • Possibly bassed on auther's experiance.
